Adrienne M. Augustus, M.P.A.

Founder & Board President

Adrienne created A Beautiful Mind Foundation, Inc. in 2019 with the desire to significantly impact how diverse populations view and receive treatment for mental illness. A life-long supporter of charitable organizations including as a fundraiser, event planner, and member of the board of directors for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Girl Scouts, a series of personal events profoundly impacted Adrienne’s life and shifted her focus to mental health advocacy.

In 2016 Adrienne made a deliberate professional and personal shift and moved from the corporate, for-profit world to the nonprofit sector and mental health advocacy. She immediately began volunteering with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Southern Nevada affiliate and was quickly hired to work for NAMI Nevada. In 2018 she moved east where she worked at the NAMI national office in Arlington, VA.
